Appearance: Ed is androgynous and looks like a young boy instead of a teenaged girl. She has unruly orange-red hair and wide yellow-green eyes. She also sometimes wears goggles. A cartoonish blush is almost always on her cheeks. She runs around bare-footed in a loose white shirt and cycling shorts. She also wears the occasional strange headgear/dress when she could get them.
Personality: Ed gave herself her ridiculously long name. She almost always talks in third person and makes strange, often baby-like sounds. She is cheerful and appears to be very, very carefree. She sometimes acts like dogs, cats and other animals. She never walks. She runs, tumbles around, jump, rolls...she is one very odd, child-like character. She seems to suffer from some strange personality disorder.

Abilities/Strengths: She's a genius when it comes to computers, gadgets and technology in general. Hacking and information gathering are her specialty. With sheer talent, she can hack even into things that are not connected to any network by making it so that they are connected, at least, to her network. Destroying and implanting viruses are no problem to her, and she can crack practically any code without breaking a sweat.

She's a pretty good chess player. She can stay up for days with little food and no sleep if her opponent is good. Most people however, she can defeat with just a few moves. She also seems invulnerable to food poisoning. Once, when all the Bebop crew, including its dog, got sick due to super-spoiled food that 'attacked' them, she ate the thing and suffered no ill effects whatsoever.
Weapons: None. She can use computers to cause massive destruction however, or control other machines through viruses and hacking techniques, among other less dangerous things.
Weaknesses: Ed is virtually a non-fighter character who does not even know how to handle a gun. She is pure and naive, so it might be easy to trick her into doing some things.

History:

Her father left her at an orphanage on Earth and forgot all about her. At the orphanage she was with other kids, more than a couple as eccentric as her such as one who collected human nails. There was one kid, a quiet one named Tomato, who she became close to. Tomato is the one who introduced her to computers and probably taught her hacking skills as well.

After leaving the orphanage, she became known as a hacker named "Radical Edward". Famous, but no one quite knows what she really looked like. Somehow, it became her dream to ride the Bebop and become one of its crew members. The Bebop is a renovated ship used by three bounty hunters and a dog to travel in space. Radical Edward saw her chance at it when a bounty was made within the Earth's vicinity. Ed struck a deal with one of the bounty hunters that in exchange for helping them out, they would let her ride the Bebop. Afterwards, the Bebop tried to run from their end of the deal, but Ed made the ship fly around and out of its owners' control with a remote control until they agreed to let her come aboard.

Ed's job in the Bebop's bounty hunting trips was basically hacking and information gathering, with the occasional research on the side. She got along best with Ein, a dog, and became a surrogate daughter of sorts to the Bebop's owner, Jet Black. The single female of the group, Faye Valentine, was very much like a sister to her.

However, when Ed's father returned (and forgot about her again...), Ed left the Bebop (to look for him) without a word to the others. She tried to leave Ein behind, but the dog insisted on going with her. It is shortly after they started on their separate journey that Econtra took the kid from her universe.
